Unfurl Spasticity Glove for Children
Unfurl is a 3D-printed glove attachment designed to assist children with hand and wrist spasticity, commonly caused by conditions like cerebral palsy. It uses velcro straps to connect to any glove, employing an innovative BOA dialing system from the outdoor shoe industry. By turning the dial, elastic bands connected to the fingers are tensioned, helping to open curled fingers. Releasing the dial relaxes the bands, allowing the fingers to return to their closed position. The project was developed in collaboration with a real patient named Derrick.
